*      Description: A series of 12 lectures on alternate Sundays on the Methods of Tabligh. Course work will involve further reading and research in English as well as Arabic text for those able to translate. 

 

 

Outline of the Course

1. Method of Tabligh:

·        According to Quran

·        The prophets practice.

·        Error-free Imams

·        Scholars

7. Dialog of scholars from different schools.

·        Between Abdul- Jabbar Muatazeli and Al-Sharif Al- Murtadha.

·        Between Ibn-Taymiyah and Allamah Hilli

 2. Objectives of Tabligh in our contemporary time.

8. Dialog of scholars from different schools:

·        Between Ibn-Rooz Bahan and Noorulallah Tustaree

·        Between Sheikh Al-Azhar and Sharaf Al-Deen

 

 3. Significance of the prophet's companions.

9. The role of Wilayah in real faith.

 4. The link between Ismah and leadership.

10. Rejection of Khalifs ( Umayyids, Abbasids and Ottomons).

 5. How was the Hadith collected?

 

11. The Issue of Al-Mahdi (AS).

 6. Divine Attributes:

·        Introduced by Sunni scholars

·        Introduced by Shia scholars.

12. Shall we forget the past and concentrate on the present?

 

 

*      Preliminary Reading: We suggest students read ‘Peshawar Nights’ by Sultanu’l-Wai’izin Shirazi ISBN: 1-890847-00-3*. A full reading list and syllabus will be available prior to the start of the course.
