Mohaqqeq
Tabatabaye Library
Late Mohaqiq Tabatabaye was one of Shia's prominent
scholars. His erudity and experience in various fields of knowledge
is known to all knowledge-loving people. He was one who indeed
played a great in propagating and disseminating Islam and the
knowledge of Ahlalbayt (a.s.).
Late Mohaqiq Tabatabaye has left some 7000 valuable Shia books,
224 series of microfilms and many fine manuscripts in his personal
library. Most of the books left are source books which are being
used now-a-days by students and researchers of religious seminaries.
In a move to appreciate Mohaqiq Tabatabaye's long efforts in the
way of Islam, the office of His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sistani
(may Allah grant him long life) established a public library in
his name. This library was inaugurated in 1418 and it is one of
the many most visited libraries in the holy city of Qom.
Address: Beside Aalulbayt publication center, Sumayyah Street,
Qom - Iran.
